2015 Employment Law for Business

  • Attorney Libby Glasgow will present the seminar series, Employment Law for Business, at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens from 2-4 p.m. on October 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th.  This seminar series is designed to help business owners, supervisors, managers and human resource professionals understand and comply with the laws affecting employers today.

    Each class will focus on a particular area of employment law with an emphasis on lawsuit prevention. Topics include: the 2016 wage and hour changes, updates with the ADA and FMLA, a new look at drug and alcohol testing, the uptick in hiring litigation, new rules for independent contractors, making changes to severance and confidentiality agreements, terminations, harassment and discrimination prevention, background checks, employee coaching and discipline, documentation, employee medical issues, workers’ compensation, handbooks and policies.
